Everything about Cremyll totally explained

Cremyll is a village on the Rame Peninsula in south-east Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is on the southern coast of Plymouth Sound, and the Cremyll Ferry, which carries foot passengers only, crosses the Sound from Cremyll to Plymouth. The main gates to Mount Edgcumbe Country Park and Mount Edgcumbe House are located in Cremyll.
The Cremyll Ferry may well date back to the Saxon arrival in the 8th century, and was part of the main southern route into Cornwall until the 1830s. There was a larger community here called West Stonehouse (compare with East Stonehouse) until it was burnt by the French in 1350.
